What a delight to be asked to photograph this happy, rambunctious family at their home and market garden up the Twisp River. Their enthusiasm for life and ability to live in the moment made it a joyous experience for me. The two boys were lively and eager to share many of the things they love about living here – their chickens, strawberries, sugar snap peas, magnificent garlic, their secret hiding places, soccer skills and verve for life! Mom and dad asked that I capture in images, their life on their hillside homestead. It’s a life full of love and joy, chickens and alpacas (who were more interested in my camera than posing for photos), a dog and a cat in addition to two active boys and a garden to fill the larder and plenty left over for the market!
