Caroline and Kevin – Married in Mazama!

The Mazama Country Inn was the setting for this weekend of sharing and love and the marriage of Caroline and Kevin.

Last winter he proposed while on they were skiing in the Methow so this was the perfect setting for their summer wedding. These two share a love of the outdoors, skiing and hiking, biking and soccer, and anything else that keeps them fit and in touch with the world around them. Caroline has five sisters. Kevin has one brother. They have a huge circle of friends and family who gathered on a sunny August Saturday to support them as they became husband and wife in a meadow at the foot of Goat Wall.

There were para-sailors who flew off the side of Goat Peak and landed in the meadow. There were parasols to keep the hot August sunshine away from sensitive skin. There were jars of jam made by the bride and groom as favors for their guests. The guest book was a soccer ball. I think everyone had a camera.

All day long there were hugs and kisses and it seemed like someone was always sweeping someone else off of their feet or else jumping for joy! And laughter! Following the wedding and photos in the sunlit meadow, everyone made their way to dinner on the lodge’s deck. After dinner we managed to sneak the bride and groom away for a few more quiet photos before the sun retreated behind the North Cascades. It was an especially touching moment. As evening settled in to dusk many toasts were made by friends and family and stories were told full of love and fun times shared with the couple. When darkness was complete, music started and the dancing began. It was a warm summer night full of love and laughter.
