Married in the Methow Valley

Lesha and Nate were married last Saturday near the river in the lower Methow Valley. It was a beautiful setting for both the ceremony and the reception and also for all the folks that camped out for the weekend – including the bride and groom! Weather was, finally, for at least one day anyway, warm! With temperatures closet to 85, folks were searching for shade as we did photos in the mid-afternoon heat. The breeze was a blessing. At this time of year, the Methow River is still running high from the winter snowfall so everyone was careful to keep a safe distance from the swift current.

The bride and groom had thoughtfully planned a lovely country wedding complete with boots and burlap and old canning jars. Most everyone was accessorized with sunglasses and sunscreen also! The lucky girl to catch the bouquet will soon be marrying the bride’s brother. Not everything went right. One of the members of the scheduled band broke his foot the night before and cancelled. How Nate managed to find another good band and convince them to travel fours on such short notice, I’ll never know!

A Bald Eagle flew over the reception a couple of times – maybe it smelled some of the delicious meat and fish that came off the grill? It was a beautiful, fun day full of beautiful and happy people.
