The Sixty Day Wedding Plan

Many couples spend months or a year or more planning a wedding. These two did it in two months, only sixty days! A formal wedding.

And what lovely day it was. The weather had been unsettled and it rained earlier but by the time I arrived at Sun Mountain Lodge, it had tapered off and quit! The sky, while not clear, had patches of blue. It wasn’t exactly warm and by the time they had signed the paperwork, the bride was shivering. The lodge staff made a fire in the lobby and we enjoyed it before the couple made their entry to the reception.

Not only did two people get married but three children were officially brought into a new family. It was obvious that they already had a loving, blended family and everyone was incredibly happy with the big day. For the ceremony, first the children walked to the bluff, then the couple together, then the officiant and finally the family and friends. I was the only one that got to watch it all from start to finish.

I am incredibly lucky to be included in days like this.
