Freestone Inn Summer Wedding

The Freestone Inn at Mazama was the setting for this hot summer wedding. Hot. 104 degrees hot for the ceremony. Guests grabbed frozen treats as they walked to the lawn to take their seats. Thankfully, it began to cool off after the ceremony and photos. Funny how 95 in the shade can seem comfortable. The bride and groom and many of their wedding party and guests came over from Tacoma and were in awe of the stunning setting.

And there were dogs! I lost count of how many dogs attended. The bride and groom had two in the ceremony. The littlest one was the ring bearer and for a moment, she had a change of heart and headed for the lodge instead of the couple! The dog was chased down and handed to the groom and rings were exchanged and they were pronounced husband and wife and all was well.

The dinner featured macaroni and cheese! Oh my gosh. Mac and cheese. What  great idea. There was lots of other terrific food but that’s what I remember. The beautiful flowers came from Autumn at Northern Farm Flowers and she handled the wedding coordination too.

Another wonderful wedding and a lovely day. I am so lucky.
